The Los Robles Residence was a major remodel and addition to an existing single-family residence in The Village neighborhood of Laguna Beach, California.  The project scope included a complete interior and exterior remodel of the single-story 1939 cottage, improving vehicular access and maneuvering to the rear yard detached garage, and various site improvements throughout the property.  Interior walls were removed and spaces redesigned to have the kitchen, dining, and family room all open to each other, as well as a new large-scale door opening system to connect these spaces to the front yard terrace and ocean view.  The existing front yard was a simple grass slope down to the sidewalk, which was re-designed to create an elevated entertaining terrace that captures an ocean view over the front street corridor, as well as perimeter planters for soft privacy screening from the sidewalk.
